Sell Boom Cards, if you are looking for a fun teacher side hustle. They are easy to create and do not take hours like TpT products can take. AND, you can sell them on Teachers Pay Teachers!
If you are looking for an almost full tutorial, watch “How To Create Boom Cards” on my Youtube Channel.
Boom Cards in the Classroom
Boom Cards are versatile! I only have iPads as a class set once a week, but I have Boom Cards as part of a rotation of apps that the students use. I make a deck and then sell the Boom Cards once the class has played them. My students are instant feedback! If you are looking for how I use Boom Cards, check out this other blog post on Boom Cards in the classroom.
I have used Boom Cards as “homework” or “extra practice” for students. When we are working on a particular math unit, I usually have at least a couple decks available that students can access either in the class or at home. As I have only 5 iPads in the classroom, I had the tech guy add the Boom Learning app to them and now I’ve got a station or centre ready!
Boom Cards can be used for whole class instruction. Project them onto your whiteboard or screen and use them as part of your teaching instruction.
Sell Boom Cards That Are Big
One of the versatilities of Boom Cards is that you can create a BIG deck and the buyer can break it into smaller decks for their students. Sometimes I will create a smaller deck of about 20-25 cards (some sellers create decks with less than 10 cards), but I’ve made decks much larger and then inform the buyer that they can “hide” cards so that they can differentiate the learning. This is a great selling feature. It may take a bit of time for the buyer but they are only needing to purchase 1 product (from you!).
Need More Help?
If you have not seen Boom Cards in action, there are lots of freebies available. Here is one of the first decks that I made. Click the link below, it’s free! And, if you do not have an account with Boom, first time customers will get a special promotion to start! I have a few Boom Card tutorials on my Youtube channel and I will be creating another Boom Cards blog post in the near future.
Until then,
Happy Selling!
