Now that you have a Teachers Pay Teachers store, your first priority is to get more views! You need to get your products seen. No views = no sales! Waaah!
Last week we looked at your TPT Data. It can tell you a lot! Today we are going to look at your data to view what is getting looked at, and what is not. This month I’m not getting a lot of views (see below), so what can I do?

Get More Views By Optimizing Your Products
If you are not getting a lot of eyes on your products, making sure you are optimized should be your first priority. Most TPT sellers will tell you that the bulk of their sales come from the TPT search. Have you checked to see what page your products are on when you type the title in the search? It’s pretty scary. If you look at my top viewed product (see above), I can find this product on the 2nd page of search. However, if need to click “Free”. If I don’t, I can’t find my product in the top 5 pages. And what is where you want all your products to be! They need to be on the first couple pages when buyers search your keywords.
How Do You Get On the First Page?
This is a little harder, but not impossible. This will depend on how saturated your product niche is. For example, my third product on the list, Math Fact Fluency Addition to 20 Google Slides, is currently on the 2nd page, if I type “Google Slides”. If I just type Addition to 20, I will never find it. There are over 220,000 products! Eeek! I made a Youtube video on SEO and keyword research that is one way to get more views.
If you can get your products on the first couple pages, you should see more views and perhaps more money. I say perhaps because there are other factors that go into a sale. We will look at that in the next blog post.
More Visibility Will Get You More Views
What are you using to get your products seen? Are you using social media? Do you have a blog or website? Do you have Youtube or a podcast? Are you using Pinterest? You do not need to be using of all these, but you should consider using one of them! I have used them all and honestly, it made me tired. I am using IG less and less. I’m mainly on there to see what friends are doing. I use Facebook mainly for the Side Hustle Help for TPT and Boom group. My personal choice is Pinterest and my Email list.
Be Consistent
Whatever platform you choose to use, consistency is key. Also, keep your goal in mind. If you chose Instagram but are posting random stuff, that will not help you move forward with your side hustle earnings. Give your audience value. That doesn’t mean give your stuff away. Teach them, educate them. Show them a time-saving tip. Share what works for you in the classroom and then couple that with a product that can help them.
This is not a get rich quick, overnight success strategy. This will help you grow steadily and with repeat customers!

Happy Selling!
